This morning was fun with the kids. Jane got a couple stuffed animals that she had been wanting and Jack and Hank got some Lego Ninjago toys that had them enthralled the entire day. It is a contraption that spins the lego guy in a whirlwind and it was a huge hit. I got Pete some mini trains and a stuffed bunny but he begged for "Ninjado" all day. I guess it's time to just accept that he will just want what the other boys have.
Jack has started reading chapter books at night. He really loved The Magic Treehouse book that he read and I'm hoping to get him some more. Unfortunately, the reading light being on seems to signal to Hank that he should run around and never go to sleep so we aren't quite sure what to do about that.
Jane continues to love her Animal Jam computer game. In fact, today she spent $30 of her own money to buy a six month membership that allows her to get more animal avatars and other bonus aspects of the game. I don't really get it but she gets 30 minutes a day on weekdays and 1 hour to play on Saturday and Sunday.
Hank is hilarious. The kids watched Chicken Little today and when the chicken did really great at a baseball game Hank was so excited. He said, "I love that chicken!" And, "That chicken beat some butts!"
This morning Jane tattled to me that Jack had come into her room early in the morning. I said, why are you tattling? It's Easter. Jack said, "Yeah, I just wanted to hug you." Then Hank said, "Does anyone need a group Easter hug?"
Hank grew tired of his "What a wonderful world" song so I've been singing "You are my sunshine." One night he told me he liked the song. The next night he said, "If you love somebody that means they are sunshine." I said, "Yep." He said, "Do you yuve me ayot?" I said, yes, and he said he loves me a lot, too. Then he said, "So that means we are both sunshine." The next night he just smiled and said, "We are each other's sunshine." LOOOVE that kid.
