Here's a pic of three patriotic girls. Why does mine have to look like a cross-eyed psycho?

Cara helped Jane up her patriotism factor by painting her toes. Jane loved it of course and was devastated when she got home and told me, "I see white! Fix it!" (meaning she had seen that her polish was chipping off). So the next time she saw Cara she asked her to fix it. But obviously she gave up on having perfectly manicured nails.

Here are some pics we took while waiting for the fireworks (and sprinklers) to start.

And as an afterthought at the end of the day I realized we had not taken any pictures of our dear son on his first holiday. Hmmm....first and second children are definitely treated differently! But this does capture what Jack spent the day doing.

Love the toes and love that little Jack face!
That little girl is growing up. What a cutie and Jack - oh so cute.
THat was so much fun! Thanks for coming with us!
Thank you for making me feel like less of a horrible neglectful mother. I've gotten a few comments about my uneven representation of the boys on Pioneer day (and in general). because let's be honest, why do you need 300 pictures of a sleeping baby? But yes, they are adorable.
