Here's our little mini-man. He cracks me up the way he looks like a 45-year-old baby.
Nothing too exciting to report on a two-month-old of course. He started batting at objects which is pretty cute. He also started cooing a couple days after I started to worry he was never going to do it. His smiles are getting bigger and more frequent. At first he only smiled for me (which I loved) but now he is smiling for just about anyone. He enjoys his baths and likes his vibrating chair. He really hates it when I'm a food pusher. If he's not hungry he does NOT want to nurse. (whereas Jane would nurse anytime I offered it). Jack just screams until I stick his paci in (okay, binky never stuck for us) and let him go to sleep. For how small he is he really should be doing better at tummy time. But he mainly just bawls his eyes out face down. So then I pick him up and the cycle continues. :)
Newborn clothes are finally getting too small for him. He fits well into a lot of his 0-3 months one piece outfits but all of the 0-3 pants fall right off his waist and bum. So he hasn't worn a big-boy outfit to church yet. I think he weighs around 11 pounds though so it seems like they should be fitting him.
My days are mainly spent wishing I could go back to bed. He is a good sleeper in the sense that he can often put himself to sleep and doesn't wake up unless he's hungry. But he's usually hungry at 10:00, 1:00, 4:00, 6:00 and every 30 minutes after 6. I know, it doesn't sound THAT bad but when it is day in and day out it gets pretty old. I am so tired of never sleeping longer than a 2.5 hour stretch. Jack likes to rub it in by taking a really long morning nap when I of course need to be awake to take care of Jane. I know I shouldn't let him sleep too long for his daytime naps but it always seems that I want to get just one more thing done before waking him up. And then of course by the time I get the second kid to bed during Jane's nap time the first one is ready to wake up. In short, I think my love with the newborn stage this time around is wearing off. I'm ready for him to grow up a bit, sleep a little longer, and get a little more fun.
But then again he is so sweet and cute. I guess I won't hit fast forward just yet.

he does look like a little man in that robe! totally cute pics- hang in there- you'll get to sleep when your youngest starts kindergarten.
I love his big smile!! How fun!
I would have killed myself by now with his nightime sleeping habits.
Love the pictures! Especially how he smiles! Super cute!
That is cracking me up- I totally know the old man baby look. He's so cute!
He DOES look like a little man! But in that last picture he looks like the turtle man in Master of Disguises...is that what it's called...? Anyway he's adorable!!
What a cute little guy. I love the smile. I'm so anxious to see him. One thing to look forward to coming home from our mission.
The robe picture for some reason reminded me of that 80 year old playboy man who lives in the mansion with all the girls. But cuter and way less creepy. And yeah, the sleep thing is horrible. We have to wait to sleep until our youngest gets to Kindergarten? how sad.
perhaps I should clarify that it is while the kindergartener is at school that you get to take a nap. :)
